ABOUT COURTICE

Located approximately 60km east of Toronto, Courtice is a little Hamlet nestled between two cities. Described as "Small Town Canada" it's the best of two very different worlds. Located five minutes from Oshawa and five minutes from Bowmanville, Courtice offers people the opportunity to live in a small town that is close to everything. A place you can safely and quietly raise your children (10 public schools and 2 high schools). A place you don't have to pay for parking, and a place...much like the tv show Cheers - where everyone knows your name.

Shops are close by; the parks are pretty and the local waterfront offers walking trails with spectacular views of Lake Ontario. Courtice has a medical center centrally located but is also only a 15-minute drive from the Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa and a 13-minute drive from the Lakeridge Hospital in Bowmanville.

You can commute to Toronto via Go Bus to Oshawa and then direct to Toronto, you can drive on the Hwy 401 or Hwy 407 or choose to work locally because you are surrounded by cities with industry.

Leisure time can be spent at one of Courtice's two Ice Rinks. One rink which is Olympic sized and the other that is NHL sized.  The turf field behind these areas is NFL-sized.  Courtice is also home to the Clarington Speed Skating Club, and a Community Complex which has a large indoor pool for families. Lap lanes for the serious swimmer, a wading pool for young kids and a waterslide, hot-tub, sauna and gym facilities for everyone else.

If you are in the real estate market, Courtice could best be described as "home". Not too far, not too close but just right in-between.
